Cincinnati Gives Challenge

Cincinnati Gives is an ancillary of Cincinnati Magazine aimed at highlighting the nonprofit work of the Greater Cincinnati area. It is a combination of a print magazine and the online Gives Challenge, a 10 day friendly fundraising competition.

Previous Gives Challenge campaigns focused around a single photo of the Cincinnati skyline. Since Gives requires a wide range of resources and promotional materials, the campaign materials quickly felt old and repetitive. 

I wanted to bring fresh life into the brand. It’s exciting to be a part of the nonprofit work in Cincinnati, and people should feel good about contributing to the charities working to make the city a better place. With this in mind, I focused the refresh around a tight color palette of bright colors and geometric shapes. It creates a distinct brand voice that is fun, flexible, and dynamic.
